Let’s say you’re curious about the people at a potential employer, or at a competitor, and you want to know more about them.
Well, one of the first places you would head would be to LinkedIn, wouldn’t it?
Ah, but what if you don’t want people to know you’re checking them out — you want to view LinkedIn profiles anonymously?
Here’s what you do:
- Click “Me” in the navigation bar on your profile.
- Click “Settings & Privacy.”
- Click “Privacy.”
- Click “Profile viewing options.”
- Click your preferred level of anonymity.
Research away to your heart’s content — or at least to the extent LinkedIn will allow based on your free or paid membership status.
When you’re done, click back into Settings & Privacy and select your normal privacy level.
